Job Description

JM96 - Warehouse Operative Location - EdinburghSalary - £CompetitiveOverview:Responsible for organising the safe and efficient movement and storage of cargo in line with the collection / delivery notes received from the operations department. Monday - Friday. 9am-5.30pm but will require flexibility based on requirements.Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for receiving, handling and delivery of all goods as required
  • Ensuring the security and safety of allocated company vehicle and cargo
  • Ensuring allocated company vehicle remains roadworthy and daily maintenance checks are carried out
  • All paperwork is correctly filled in upon collection / delivery and received within the office by operations
  • Ensuring quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation
  • Reporting any vehicle deficiencies to the transport coordinator
  • Fosters a culture that addresses unacceptable behaviour and positively promotes the company values and behaviours
  • Receipt and storage of incoming items
  • Processing orders and planning dispatch of goods
  • Operating relevant IT Systems
  • Ensuring work is carried out to required SOPs
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Experienced driver with a full clean driving license
  • Be able to work well as part of a team or unaided using own initiative
  • Able to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Able to work flexibly where required
  • Comfortable with animals, including but not limited to dogs and cats
