Role OverviewSavills has an exciting and rare opportunity to join our established valuation team working in either the Edinburgh or Glasgow offices.The successful candidate will be an RICS Registered Valuer with experience of undertaking valuations for loan security, accounts and other purposes. The role sits within our Scottish valuation team who carry out a varied and diverse range of valuation instructions across the country and predominantlyfor loan security purposes. The vast majority of time will be spent undertaking loan security valuations on behalf of the major lending organisations; predominantly this is UK clearing banks and alternative lenders. However we also undertake portfolio valuationsfor funds and accounts valuations. The types of properties valued by the team include, investment, development and owner occupied properties.Key Responsibilities of the RoleProviding valuation advice to clients for loan security, accounts and other purposesProducing Red Book valuation reports to a high standardReporting to clients and senior colleaguesAdhere to internal processes, lender requirements and RICS regulationsBuild the professional business through networking internally and externallyDevelop and identify new business opportunitiesKeeping up to date with changing legislation and valuation practicesAct as a role model to rotational graduatesSkills, Knowledge and ExperienceMRICS qualified (essential)RICS Registered Valuer (essential)Ideally a minimum of 1 years PQEExperience in writing reports and providing strategic property advice and due diligence (essential)Experience of Development and investment valuationsGood market knowledge & strong commercial awarenessAbility to liaise and communicate well with colleagues and other departments within SavillsWell organised with good attention to detailStrong analytical, research and report writing skills (essential)Ability to manage a substantial caseload with limited supervisionAutonomousable to take sole responsibility for instructions from start to finishWork quickly and efficiently to tight timescalesCompetent in Microsoft Office SuiteProficient in Valuation software, specifically Excel, Argus Developer and Argus Enterprise
