Job Description

Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Test Engineer for a 6 month contract with ourPublic Sector client based in Glasgow or Edinburgh.Day Rate Inside IR35 Umbrella: £340Due to current circumstances the role will be working from homeYou will be working as a tester within an agile development environment reporting to the Test Automation LeadThe role:

  • Creation and maintenance of automated tests cases and test suites within an established automation framework an strategy, to enable rapid retesting and regression testing of the solution.
  • Liaising with the other members of the test team to determine suitable cases for automation, to establish priorities, and to review the automated tests
  • Test execution and recording of tests within the test management tool (QTest) for traceability
  • The above will cover functional and some non-functional requirements
  • Regular reporting to the Test Lead
  • Input to retrospectives the test improvements roadmap
    • Essential experience:
  • Experience of working as an Agile Tester/QA Engineer and working as part of an Agile Delivery Team
  • Strong experience with the use of automation, tools and frameworks especially Serenity BDD, Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin
  • Experience of testing on IBM WebSphere,JAVA, JSON, XML and in API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured
  • Working knowledge of DB2/SQL
  • Experience of configuration management and deployment tools such as GIT and Jenkins
  • Strong critical thinking, analysis, and diagnostic skills
  • Experience of JIRA,
  • Experience QTest or similar tooling (e.g.Quality Centre/ALM)Experience of Linux, Unix
    • Clearance
  • valid Basic Disclosure Scotland Certificate issued within the last 12 months.
  • security cleared to Baseline Personnel Security Standard level
