Job Description

Technical Architect, Cloud Architect, infrastructure Architect, Cloud, Azure, fully remoteArchitect required for a leading financial service organisation.Engagement is via umbrella company only and services can be provided fully remote.Working in a very dynamic environment, this is a hands-off, senior Technical Role, with extensive stakeholder management and a high level of accountability and responsibility.Experience of working in highly regulated environment is essential.The primary purpose of this role is to put in place repeatable Architecture Patterns and produce Infrastructure Solution Designs. Security and Service are key aspects of these Designs.The Role entails working closely with and influencing a wide variety of Business and Technical Stakeholders, understanding overall Business and IT Strategy, organisational fit, compliance and on-going business change requirements. In addition, the Role isresponsible for the Architectural Assurance of Deliveries and for the QA of Peer Deliverables.A key element of the Role is the research of market leading Technologies and Technology Services, along with the generation of Business cases to present to Architectural Design Authorities in order to justify purchase / implementation.The Role includes Technology Governance across multiple Technology areas to ensure that the right decisions are being made.Skills and experience required: -

  • Implementation and Solution Design exposure to large Public Cloud implementations (Azure) is essential.
  • Implementation and Solution Design exposure to core Technologies (Windows, Linux, Web, Middleware, Database, Security Gateways, LAN/WAN Networking) is essential.
  • Experience of designing (including requirements traceability) secure, high performing, highly available Technology Solutions is essential.
  • A very broad experience of Enterprise Technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all Business levels (including everyone from the CEO to Technical SMEs)
  • Ability to translate Business Requirements into Technology, Service and Security Deliverables
  • You will have a practical knowledge of Security and Risk
  • Demonstrate experience at producing proposals and justifying the value of Technology Strategies to Senior Business audiences.
  • Experience in Supporting and Designing Mission Critical Infrastructure Solutions
  • IT Security and Risk experience as part of an Architecture role is essential.
