Job Description

Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Talent and Recruitment Consultant for an initial 3 month contract on a rate of £144-£168/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this rolewill be remote based initially.Responsibilities:- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process in assigned area, from vacancy approval through to successful appointment, including assessment methods, coordination of advertising, shortlisting, coordinating interview panels, delivering feedback, and managingand negotiating the job offer. - Advise, support and challenge hiring managers through the recruitment process. - Work collaboratively to review and streamline existing recruitment policies and processes, deliver change projects and deliver accurate monthly management information. - Advise stakeholders on tailored advertising strategies/campaigns within appropriately agreed budgets, including digital and social media solutions. - Create, manage, maintain and govern accurate recruitment records including vacancy requisitions and advertising campaigns within the iTrent recruitment system in line with the organisations policies. - Ensure all marketing and advertising promotes the employer brand and values. - Ensure all vacancy campaigns are managed in line with employment legislation, UK Visa & Immigration regulations and agreed SLAs. - Advise and support candidates through relocation and interview expense processes in line with the organisations policy as required. - Oversee accurate and timely pre-employment screening processes to achieve internal SLAs. (Including referencing and right to work checks). - Work closely with the HR Services team to ensure that accurate candidate documentation and personal information is recorded in compliance with the organisations information security policies. - Engage and liaise external recruitment agencies where necessary. - Review Staff Authorisation Forms completed by line management. - Drive own personal development and keep knowledge up-to-date in relation to future innovative recruitment practices, systems and policies. - Ensure that all legal and regulatory implications are fully understood and followed. - Role model the organisations values & behaviours. - Responsible for ensuring that the information and records are processed on behalf of the organisation are managed in compliance with ALL applicable legislation, codes and policies e.g. Data Protection, Information Security and Records Management. Essential Skills:- Degree or relevant work experience in recruitment / resourcing. - Experience of working in recruitment / resourcing and headhunting candidates (in-house is preferred, but extensive agency experience will be considered). - Working knowledge of UK employment and immigration law. - Extensive experience of managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including assessment methods, interviewing, providing interview feedback and managing the offer/on-boarding process. - Experience in writing engaging and effective job descriptions and job adverts. - Experience in managing multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously across multiple sourcing mediums. - Experience in liaising with and influencing stakeholders at all levels, with strong negotiation and consulting skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce high quality, accurate and timely documents and reports. - Excellent IT skills, experienced in the use of a wide range of IT applications, including Microsoft Office and e-HR systems. Competent and adaptable in utilising digital technology to maximise service impact. - Excellent organisation, prioritisation and planning skills demonstrating the resilience to adapt to changing needs and respond positively and proactively in a fast moving environment. - Team player with strong motivational skills. - Resilient and problem solving approach to work.Desirable Skills:- Evidence of ongoing professional development or extensive relevant experience in a comparable role or membership with Institute of Recruitment Professionals. - Copyright experience in relation to composing job adverts. - Working knowledge of competency frameworks. - Experience in training.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
