Job Description

Assurance Manager - Supply Chain Sainsburys Bank, Argos Financial Services (SBAFS) Edinburgh and Remote Working In a nutshell Reporting into the Head of Control Assurance, this person will be responsible for leading, maintaining and supporting the development of Technical Supply Chain Assurance plans, working with key stakeholders and Supplier Relationship Managers to ensure supplier risks are identified and managed effectively. What you need to do You will be responsible for the identification and assessment of risks and key controls within suppliers to minimise the Banks potential exposure. We want you to manage the development and maintenance of Supply Chain Assurance test plans. Youll deliver improvements to the Banks overall understanding of supplier risks and assurance activities. We need you to undertake robust planning to identify key supplier processes, risks, and controls to define and agree proportionate and targeted testing plans in line with methodology. You will lead the delivery of supply chain assurance reviews. We want timely, concise, and accurate report writing to convey outcomes of assurance activities to key supplier, policy and risk stakeholders and SMEs across the Bank. You will ensure that where assurance activities are not completed effectively, a path to remedy this is in place and tracked. We want you to use industry networks to maintain and enhance awareness of market trends and external factors to ensure the Bank has a robust and market-leading approach to assurance of suppliers. What you need to know and show IT based audit/& assurance skills would be advantageous and if possible, an industry recognised qualification focused on IT/IS risk. Ideally you will have experience in managing under at least one of the following frameworks: COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001, ISO22301, ISO20000. You will demonstrate a strong risk management, assurance, or control testing background ideally within the Financial Services sector. Wed like you to show strong knowledge of risk management practices with the ability to identify, quantify and effectively manage risks. We need you to have working knowledge of at least two of Information Security, Business Continuity & Incident Management, Information Technology, Records Management, Data Protection and Data Governance areas of risk with experience delivering risk mitigation. For this, a strong understanding of supply management and the associated risks is ideal. You will have exemplary written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels across the business and with 3 rd party suppliers.
