Job Description

RoslinCT is looking for a driven individual to join us as a Supply Chain Associate.We are a world-leading contract manufacturing and development organisation, specialising in the field of cellular therapies, advanced therapeutic medicinal products and regenerative medicine.We have embarked on an exciting period of growth and are now recruiting across all our teams to support our expansion. This brand new position of Supply Chain Associate forms a key part of that growth.The Role:Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will provide support to the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Cell & Gene Therapy Development and QC teams in the management of raw materials procured in support of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) manufacture, and suppliers, planning, logistics and distribution. The successful candidate will have experience in materials/inventory management in a GMP biologics or pharmaceutical environment.Responsibilities:As the Supply Chain Associate you will work within a fast-paced team to deliver life-changing and cutting-edge therapeutic products to patients. As such, your responsibilities will be varied but will include;

  • Assisting with material procurement from approved GMP suppliers.
  • Receiving inbound deliveries of materials including ambient, 2-8 degrees Celsius and frozen material and movement of these deliveries to appropriate holding locations.
  • Ensuring that receipted material conforms to specifications on purchase orders and internal specifications.
  • Informing QC of material that is required to be released and ensuring materials are released in a timely manner.
  • Liaison with suppliers to ensure all required documentation and certificates for receipted materials are available when required.
  • Operation of a first in first out (FIFO) policy and first expired (FEFO) for raw materials and consumables.
  • Assisting with the management of appropriate stock levels and carrying out of stock checks of consumables and reagents with support from the Supply Chain Officer and Co-Ordinators.
  • Replenishment of materials as required via the inventory management process, ensuring stock is available for manufacturing areas.
  • Ensuring all materials and equipment is stored safely, correctly and securely depending on item classifications.
  • Assisting in shipping temperature sensitive products to clinical trial sites in accordance with Good Distribution Practice.
  • Communication with internal and external customers to ensure the smooth flow of our CMO services, and ensuring that all activities are performed in accordance with GMP and relevant standard operation procedures (SOPs).
  • Assisting with the investigation of supplier complaints as required.
  • Good housekeeping of storage areas to maintain facility audit ready and removal of waste generated via receipt/manufacturing processes.
  • On occasion, this role will include driving a company vehicle to transfer materials between sites - a full, valid and clean UK Driving Licence is therefore required.

  • Skills and Experience:The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Experience working in a GMP environment, ideally within a biologics or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Materials or Inventory Management experience gained in a GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of handling temperature sensitive materials.
  • Experience of working with Liquid Nitrogen material would be beneficial, although not essential.
  • Competency in computer packages including Microsoft Office.
