Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a part time StudentAdministrator from the 11th of December until the 31st of January on a rate of £17.81/ per hour PAYE (16 hours per week). This role willbe based on site. The working days will be Wednesday, other hours can be flexible. Responsibilities:- Assisting with administration in the Student Support Team.- Signposting students on to appropriate support services and providing accurate, helpful information through clear communication is a large part of the role.- The post will also provide administrative support to the team, including triaging and responding to email queries; updating and maintaining records of students.Essential Skills:- Experience: Vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 3, ONC or equivalent) plus typically at least 2 years’ work experience in a relevant role or school education to standard grade or equivalent plus typically 3 years’ relevant work experience.- Working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment, processes, and procedures including standard software packages such as Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.- Initiative and judgment to resolve many day-to-day problems independently.- Good written and oral communication skills; good numeracy skills and attention to detail.- Good IT skills.- Familiarity with work priorities and those of colleagues.- Ability to learn and develop an understanding of relevant policies and procedures, as they affect the role and the quality standards and outputs required.- Ability to apply relevant health and safety and other policies and procedures.- Understanding of confidentiality requirements and handling of personal information.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity, please get in touch.Indeedpublicsector
