We are a continually developing service and work closely with the Neurosciences team for timely delivery of service in the acute setting and participate in the ongoing patient care until discharge and during follow up as an outpatient. We participate in and encourage ongoing education in collaboration with Queen Margaret University who offer Neuroscience Nursing Modules. The Department takes a pro-active approach to towards meeting the personal and professional development needs of individual members of staff. We currently have the opportunity to appoint a Staff Nurse Band 5 to cover maternity leave The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the multidisciplinary team. The position will be based over two floors covering both the diagnostic imaging service but also there may be the possibility of participating in the Neurointervention suite and duties include scrubbing and assisting in interventional procedures. Participation in the on-call rota is for the Neurointervention service is available and can be subject to discussion. The post includes an extended role in male catheterisation and cannulation/IV additive duties.
