This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a highly specialised team of technicians, pharmacists and support workers that have established a positive team culture to ensure we have an enjoyable experience at work supporting each other to reach our full potential.The NHS Lothian Radiopharmacy manufacture and supply sterile radioactive medicines to departments in NHS Lothian, NHS Fife, NHS Borders, University of Edinburgh and other non-NHS hospitals.Applicants can be either a registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council, or have a suitable degree in a relevant science subject (physics, chemistry). It is desirable for science graduates to be registered on an accredited healthcare register, such as the Register of Clinical Technologists, the Academy of Healthcare Sciences or the Health and Care Professionals Council registers. Knowledge, training and experience relating to Radiopharmacy and skills in the manipulation of radioactive or other hazardous materials using aseptic technique would be beneficial.For further information please contact Lesley O’Brien on.This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record.
