Starting your Journey:Working within the Spa Team you will have a passion for all things Spa & Beauty along with the technical skills to match. As a Spa Therapist you will provide flawless treatments to our guests in Yu Spa along with supporting the wider team on all parts ofthe Yu Spa guest journey giving guests a memorable, friendly spa experience and delivering exceptional customer service.You will embrace every opportunity to create extra special moments for our guests to provide a personal experience our guests will want to share.Joining the dedicated Spa department, you will:
  • Perform a variety of spa & beauty services such as body treatments, massages, facials, nails & hair removal to a high standard following all Apex Brand Standards.
  • Suggest and promote retail products and additional services to meet your guests needs while providing a personalised service.
  • Promote a healthy, happy, positive work environment for both your team-mates and guests.
  • Work to an exceptional degree of both personal and departmental hygiene standards making sure that you, your treatment room and spa space is as hygienic and clean as possible.
  • Work with a high degree of confidentiality, maintaining client files, working with contra-indications and being aware of common medical ailments.
  • Follow all Health & Safety standards and regulations.
  • Process customer payments and make appointments for follow up treatments as required to support the front of house spa team.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that the wider goals of Yu Spa, and Apex, are achieved.
  • Attend all required trainings and departmental meetings.
You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be approachable to guests, spa members and other employees. You will be a point of contact to both guests and employees so you must be well presented and have high standards of appearance. Youwill be flexible about working weekends.On your first day you will begin a structured 12 week learning journey, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a great Spa Therapist. With this in mind, we are looking for a Spa Therapist who:
  • HNC or HND qualified or have equivalent beauty qualifications.
  • Can deliver excellent standards
  • Uses initiative
  • Is self-aware and able to evaluate their own work
  • Has a customer service attitude
  • Holds a genuine desire to provide a Warmer Welcome to our guests
  • Elemis trained would be an advantage but not essential.
