Job Description

Lloyds Banking Group support a culture of Inclusion and opportunities todevelop to become the Bank of the future and Helping Britain Prosper.On behalf of Lloyds Banking Group, AMS are looking for a Sourcing Manager(ED&ML) for a contract lasting until the end of the year based in either Edinburgh, Halifax, Bristol or London.Purpose of the Role:

  • With one of the largest data sets of any organisation in the UK, Lloyds Banking Group is investing in its data and machine learning capability and as a result, there is a requirement for additional sourcing capability to support the business.
  • The successful candidate will be working closely with a permanent member of staff dedicated to the business area of Enterprise Data and Machine Learning within the Enterprise Software Sourcing team.
As a Sourcing Manager you will be responsible for:
  • Supporting both renewals with incumbent suppliers and driving tenders and market reviews for new requirements - Existing supplier base includes Teradata, Cloudera, Informatica, Collibra, Dataiku, Clarabridge, Tableau, IBM and Confluent amongst others.
  • Working collaboratively with existing members of staff to manage both BAU and change driven workload within the ED&ML category.
  • Independently managing sourcing initiatives through Ariba workflow at all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Bringing sourcing expertise into technical discussions with stakeholders across ED&ML business areas.
  • Leading initiatives with clients that drive effective spend management through demand management, simplifying specifications and achieving business outcomes.
  • Applying knowledge of contractual terms and conditions ensuring appropriate risk mitigation embedded into supply contracts to provide high quality services to the Group.
What we require from the candidate:
  • Previous experience of sourcing within a regulated financial services environment, technical understanding of enterprise data as a category and proficiency in Ariba as a sourcing tool.
  • Previous/ recent financial services experience ideally from a big bank environment.
  • Experience of Teradata, Cloudera, Informatica, Collibra, Dataiku, Clarabridge, Tableau, IBM OR Confluent would be ideal but not essential.
  • An ability to hit the ground running.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skill.
