****SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT REQUIRED IN EDINBURGH,LEEDS OR BRISTOL*****ROLE- SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT LOCATION- EDINBURGH,LEEDS OR BRISTOL (remote working)DURATION- 6 MONTHS RATE- COMPETITIVE The ClientOur client has been serving the households, businesses and communities of Britain for over 250 years. They offer a comprehensive range of financial products and services - including current accounts, savings, mortgages, loans and credit cards.The RoleAs a Solutions Architect youll be line managed within the Solution Architect CofE. Based on architecture demand you will be task aligned to a Lab/Programme within FP&R (Financial Planning & Retirement). You will work closely with colleagues from the Lab/Programme to perform a key role driving and documenting solution designs based on the demand. You will be task managed by a Lead Architect. You will also contribute to updating the overall FP&R Architecture at a Value Stream level.Duties· Youll own the Architecture/Design for applications being impacted or owned by those Labs.· Youll evaluate and undertake impact analysis on potential design solutions, advise on associated risks and provide recommendations.· Lead the production of technology cost estimates to aid portfolio shaping and planning.· Youll collaborate within the rest of the Centre of Excellence, Lead Solution Architects and other domains to ensure that all solutions adhere to architecture strategy and meet business needs within the agreed quality of service and Governance applied.· Manage IT Architecture Application / Technology Risks and ensure the Enterprise Architect Repository is accurate and kept up to date Describe key competencies required.· Proven experience in Application Architecture and Design - Changing existing Solutions through to Designing new solutions and fitting them into the existing Architecture · Experience in Infrastructure and Security architecture· A broad base of technical knowledge across the whole spectrum of Technologies including Web Development, Java, .Net and Mainframe.
