What can you expect...Reporting into the Engineering Lead, youll be responsible for the high-level cost estimation, solution design and engineering of infrastructure solutions across the breadth of the LBG technology space insupport of the Groups IT risk remediation programme.

• Providing analysis of options and deliver end to end solution designs using relevant architectural building blocks as well as producing designs for features that enable customer value delivery
• Focusing on producing high level solution estimated costs, agreeing/formulating overall solution designs and producing the solution design results/governance artefacts for various TRP infrastructure-led projects covering the complete LBG technologylandscape.
• Promoting adaptive design practices to drive collaboration across Platform teams centring on a common vision with continuous feedback
• Translate high-level business requirements into simplified technology designs that align to LBG strategic architecture and which re-use existing published technology patterns, to support the Product Owners and Platform leads on the technical aspectof activities linked with Platform financial estimations, spend or risk management processes in line with the platform roadmap
• Lead collaborative working to ensure all designs are complete, operable, and satisfy the business requirements with the agreed quality of service
• Provide ongoing technical support and mentorship through the project delivery lifecycle, providing appropriate leadership to both internal and external colleagues and also act as the initial issue point for technical delivery for your assigned projects

Essential Skills:

• A technical background with a broad depth of IT infrastructure experience that gives you an understanding of the bigger picture
• Experience across several server technologies (Windows Server, Linux, AIX etc.) and also experience in working with Infrastructure As A Service (IaaS) Cloud technologiesplus any knowledge of Public Cloud would be a distinct advantage
• Experience of handling the needs and developing relationships with of a wealth of different suppliers, partners and customers both in an internal and an external setting ensuring the most effective solutions are put in place for them.
• Ability to prioritise a multifaceted workload, you might be running with 5 or 6 projects with different dates and contending priorities for delivery.
