Job Description

Ahighly respected company is looking for a Software Development Technical Consultant to work alongside their client base in delivering truly innovative solutions to complex problems.This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning digital transformationconsultancy, with clients spanning ranging across multiple sectors - as a Consultant you will be responsible for leading multiple client engagements; this will include eliciting, interpreting, and documenting needs, providing recommendations to the client,and working with internal tams to generate target architectures that will then be delivered by implementation teams.Along with a competitive salary, you will also receive a performance related reward scheme, a pension, Private Health Insurance, and 33 days holiday (including public holidays).As a Software Development Technical Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with clients to undertake analysis of requirements, identifying risks, issues, constraints, and opportunities
  • Providing target actions and recommendations to deliver to requirements
  • Creating documentation; this will include specifications, technology appraisals, tech roadmaps, discovery reports, and diagrams
  • Researching and evaluating technology options, work alongside leads to definite best possible solution
  • Providing support to leads in creating target architectures
  • Developing a strong understanding of internal development technologies and methodologies
  • Working extensively with clients to gain a deep understanding of their business and organisational challenges
  • Providing input to pre-sales activity such as proposals, discovery meetings, and statements of work
We are looking for a Software Development Technical Consultant who has the following skills and experiences:
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences, adept at translating concepts into plain English and broadcasting to an audience of clients and colleagues
  • Experience or strong knowledge in Microsoft web technologies and Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • Experience working independently to manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels, from senior clients to internal development teams
  • Able to quickly absorb new information and identify key factors that will encourage successful delivery
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for clients and their end users
  • Open to learning from others, and offering your support when needed
Your background can be from a number of areas; you may be a Developer at present, or an Architect, or you are already working as a consultant.They are keen to recruit someone that can demonstrate hands on knowledge of architecture and delivery of modern cloudnative software, with a background in working with both technical and non-technical audiences.
