Job Description

Software and Integrations Engineer - Edinburgh Hybrid - To 55K plus benefitsLoriens client - initially a firm who specialised in SEO and have since grown into a full-fledged digital strategy specialist in the heart of Edinburghs great city centre - is looking to secure a Software and Integrations Engineer to join their team.With a number of loyal, long-term clients on board already (who thanks to this organisation see regular growth), and new organisations adding to their customer base as we speak, its a great time to come on board.Before we go into the finer details, heres an insight as to what you can expect in return for your efforts:

Snapshot of the duties involved:
  • Effectively deliver end-to-end systems integrations projects & technical solutions
  • Analyse requirements from clients and translate them into feasible technical deliverables
  • Taking ownership for data mapping, config, testing and implementation activities
  • Liaise with Project/Product Managers, Devs and Marketing personnel
  • Write & test code to ensure compatibility/stability/fault tolerance
  • Lead on a full range of internal/external acceptance testing and associated documentation
  • Create & maintain Cloud deployments and ensure minimal downtime and issues
  • Analyse/resolve issues raised while adhering to SLAs and documenting resolution/s
  • Represent at stakeholder meetings as an SME and liaise with clients when required
What youll bring to the table:
  • Advanced skills with one of the major programming languages (ideally Python)
  • Solid record of deploying production software applications to cloud services (GCP/Azure/AWS)
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases in general (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc)
  • Previous record of developing web applications using HTML/CSS/JavaScript and/or common web frameworks, as well as development of Web APIs
  • Ability to handle complex systems integration projects involving a range of software/platforms and data structures
  • Solid understanding of the full SDLC
  • Exceptional issue identification/analysis/resolution skills
