Job Description

Location: Edinburgh AirportContract type: Permanent Full timeHours: 39Salary: £13.75per hour / £14.48 per hourBenefits: CompetitiveRole Overview and Requirements:We are looking for a full-time shift Duty Manager based at Edinburgh Airport. You must have Supervisory or Managerial experience within the cleaning industry. The purpose of this role is to supervise and lead a team to drive and provide the highest levelsof cleanliness and hygiene to the Company standards. You will be responsible for the supervision of the cleaning team and for assigning cleaning tasks as per contractual specifications and the agreed performance and quality standards.Main Duties:

  • Internal audits and assisting in client audits when required using assigned electronic auditing system (as instructed and trained)
  • Monitoring staff and ensuring staff follow correct processes and procedures, ensuring tasks are completed to the highest level and cleanliness is maintained.
  • Carry out daily visual and weekly cleaning checks of staff under your supervision to monitor performance and adherence to Company standards
  • Comply with all company policies/procedures and client site rules and regulations
  • Ensure stock checks are being carried out correctly and material orders are processed efficiently and effectively
  • Basic HR issues à assist with and liaise through OM and if required Senior HR Manager
  • Note-taking at meetings
  • Helping compose invitation letters
  • Verbal warning
  • Conducting investigations
  • Gathering statements
  • Ensure correct coverage of staff and resolve any holiday issues (as and when needed)
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by the Operations Manager including cleaning as required.
  • Assisting in training and Induction processes including toolbox talks
  • Making sure the staff adhere to company policies as laid out in the Company Handbook
