Including you!About this opportunityOur Lab is a co-located team who work together on key projects to deliver value at pace by designing services that people find useful, easy and engaging to use. Typically, a Lab has a strong focus on complex problem solving in an agile environment whereengineers are free to experiment and create innovative products which will transform the way our customers engage with us.This role accepts 24*7 responsibility for service availability, currency, and performance. This is a leadership level role and will blend both technical expertise with great passion for developing people.Our Service team work across multiple Labs all focused on the end to end customer journey.The team is critical to the overall Customer experience and as such is the glue that holds together the various activities in flight across the team. We require aService Manager / Engineer to join who can bring ITIL based thinking and experience to a dynamic Agile Lab environment.Leading service for both labs, you’ll manage systems critical to both our onboarding and servicing of customer needs – across multiple technologieson prem and cloud.The role has a wide breadth in which you’ll get the opportunity to grow your leadership skills, not only in service but also in compliance, risk, audit and release. You’ll also work with our key third party suppliers to build relationships.

  • You’ll play a key role in maintaining, advancing and protecting our systems
  • Builds, develops and supports LBGs systems and services whilst continually challenging, motivating, mentoring and supporting their team.
  • Lead production incident investigation and resolution which will include who/when to engage wider teams
  • Identifying and implementing service optimisations both process and technical
  • As part of the Service leadership team, youll set strategic direction for how we build software within the teams, which includes tools, coding standards, quality controls Route To Live and safe handover to Production.
  • You’ll be a role model and leader for the rest of the team, helping prioritise work and keeping everyone on the right path.
What you’ll need
  • An ITIL qualification or demonstrable experience of the processes
  • Leadership experience through line management, coaching & mentoring.
  • Knowledge of Mainframe and batch processing basics
  • Knowledge of Digital journey Service Management
  • Experience of Incident, Problem & Change process in a complex, multi component environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to collaborate across teams
  • Experience and knowledge of Risk & Compliance processes
  • Previous experience of ServiceNow toolset
