Job Description

Senior Town PlannerAn exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Town Planner to join a well-established Planning Consultancy in Edinburgh!About the CompanyMy client is extremely well-respected in the planning sector and offer high-quality services especially in the energy, waste, mineral and commercial sectors! For example, my client is one of the leading consultancies in renewable and mineral planning aroundthe UK.My clients presence within the renewables sector is growing rapidly and have been involved in a staggering amount of onshore wind proposals all throughout the UK. As the business is rapidly evolving and will continue to do so, the opportunity to developwithin the company is very much available.The Role The ideal candidate should be able to handle the responsibilities of delivering high quality projects to clients and to work with directors and other team members to market the services of the company to expand the client base. The duties of the Senior TownPlanner will be to provide professional planning services to the practice, manage projects efficiently and manage multidisciplinary teams. In addition, the candidate should be fully capable at:

  • Maintaining great professional relationships with clients
  • Working with directors and others to undertake marketing tasks and prepare fee proposals
  • Collaborate with others to ensure the websites planning sector is up-to-date and interesting
Requirements:
  • RTPI Accreditation
  • Relevant amount of planning experience
  • Strong understanding and experience with renewables
  • Excellent organisation skills i.e., the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Being a motivational team player
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
