  • Define scope and deliverables for assignment with ‘client’ for the design of systems architectures to integrate business and IT requirements
  • Delivery
  • Effective client engagement and stakeholder management during assignment (may include management of subcontractors and partners)
  • Track market trends and competitor activities in ‘expert’ area and ensure this data is utilised for the ongoing service development
  • Identify and manage risk
    • Essential Skills
  • A detailed understanding of cloud solutions, strategy, best practice and patterns with a particular focus on AWS
  • Strong knowledge of the AWS Well Architected framework and ability to lead reviews with customers
  • Extensive experience in architecting enterprise cloud solutions to high non-functional requirements such as availability and resilience
  • Experience in a lead role in the delivery of significant cloud workload migration and automation projects
  • Experience of working as part of Agile/Scrum
  • Expert in DevSevOps practices, experience in leading others and providing guidance on best practice
  • Excellent hands on knowledge of Configuration and Management tools like Puppet, Chef, Terraform, Ansible, etc
  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines and providing advice on implementation with associated tools such as Jenkins, maven, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline, etc
  • Expert knowledge in Microservice architecture, container and function solutions and associated technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift and AWS EKS
  • Hand on experience in leading the delivery of container, orchestration and Microservices projects
  • Experience of coding in a language supported by the AWS SDK such as Java, Python, C#
  • Cloud operational and monitoring solutions such as ELK, FluentD, CloudWatch and Prometheus
    • Desirable Skills
  • Experience of Cloud Native security such as container and software defined network security and or static code analysis and continual security delivery
  • Architectural framework based delivery leveraging design artifacts such as from TOGAF
  • Modelling framework experience such as C4 Modelling, UML and or Architmate
  • Service mesh network frameworks such as Istio
  • Event driven integration frameworks such as Kafka
