World-ClassTechnology Company founded in Edinburgh are looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer, with goodexperience using Javato join one of their business critical squads.Hybrid working, modern tech and great culture on offer.Theyve been operating for well-over ten years and are one of the market leaders within their field -theyre going through a period of growth as theyre scaling up several of their squads, so are in a great place.You would be joining a squad that work on a product that is crucial for the day-to-day running of the business. This is a verification product that is used throughout all their services and has millions of requests daily.Theyre an Agile squad of roughly seven largely consisting of front-end and mobile Engineers, you will be the first back-end Engineer within this team and theyre looking for someone that would feel comfortable being the specialist in thisarea. Theyre also hoping that in time, you would be able to help mentor some of the front-end Engineers transition to more Full-Stack.Youll be actively working with Java (Spring),AWS,Microservices and Docker, amongst a few other technologies. Youd be tasked to improve the performance and quality of this product, and youll be able to suggest and implement technologies you feel would help take it to the next level. The organisation are very big on knowledge sharing here, so youll be able togain skills and experience from other teams to help aid a lot of these improvements (i.e DevOps / SRE ).Youll ideally have good experience with the following;** Java8+** Java Frameworks (ideally Spring / Springboot)** Working with cloud services (AWS, GCP or Azure)** DevOps tooling (Docker, Kubernetes or Terraforms)The following experience is highly desirable;** Working with Distributed Systems** Working on high-trafficking productsTheyve got custom-built offices in central Edinburgh, which includes pool tables, games consoles, even their own Gym and much more.
