Job Description

Denholm are delighted to be working with our financial services client on a great opportunity for a Senior Cyber Security Operations Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a UK based remote working role, there will be a requirement to visitmy clients office in Edinburgh once a month.The Senior Security Operations Analyst is an integral part of the security operations team with the objective of continually testing and improving the organisations security posture.The role is technical and must deliver continuous operational security improvements by coordinating penetration testing, issue remediation and day to day security posture upgrade. The role will take a threat based approach and provide an attackers viewpointby demonstrating weaknesses in security controls. The ability to clearly communicate these risks to stakeholders is essential.The role reports directly to the Cyber Security Operations Manager. The role holder will work together with the Leads in the Threat, Response & Defence capabilities as well as inputting in to the Engineering function The role holder will also work with othersecurity functions as well as specialist 3rd party security suppliers and the global IT and business teams.Ideal candidate experience

  • Experience managing enterprise penetration testing programs. Including hands on experience with application and system testing and the ability to perform internal tests.
  • Experience with security tools, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, AV, web and email filtering, webapp firewalls and DDoS protections, host based protections and malware analysis
  • Familiarity with common enterprise technologies e.g. Microsoft, Linux, VMWare, Citrix, etc.
  • Passion for security and self-development to keep up to date with the evolving threat and vulnerability landscape, new technologies and service improvements
  • Able to work in an international matrix organisation with complex and dynamic drivers and constraints
  • Comfortable with a fast paced multi-threaded working environment
  • Industry recognised certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of cloud security principles, hands-on experience with Azure Security Centre and AWS Guard Duty is also beneficial
