JOB TITLE: Senior Project Manager – Diagnostics and RadiologyNHS LothianDiagnostics and Radiology Senior Project ManagerThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, creative, and dynamic individual to work within the Directorate of Diagnostics, Theatres & Anaesthetics and Critical Care within NHS Lothian (hosted in the Sustainability and Value team).The service is entering a challenging, but ground-breaking time as the recovery from Covid begins.Our patients are at the heart of everything that we do, and our aim is to provide safe and compassionate care, every time. You will be working as part of the Clinical Service Team, taking a lead role in the delivery of projects including Cath Lab reconfigurations, radiology redesign, and laboratories (specifically histopathology) redesign; providing a key linkage to the overarching National Programmes.As a forward thinking change professional, you will work collaboratively with clinical and management colleagues and partners to shape your projects; delivering short, medium and long term benefits, and developing an evidence base for future investment.You will be a key member of the clinical service team, but hosted in the Sustainability and Value Team, working in a high performing, creative and supportive environment. An excellent communicator, you will work across a multi-disciplinary, multi-organisational network. This can be often an autonomous role where excellent problem-solving abilities, diplomacy and aptitude to provide innovation are key skills.You should be educated to degree level with a high level of analytical skills and the ability to apply practical problem solving in a complex environment.Significant demonstrable experience of designing and delivering across all project phases; initiation, design, implementation, transition, and support is essential, with a commitment to co-production.You should have excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to work with a range of stakeholders at all levels, and negotiation and diplomacy skills which will help you to facilitate discussions and design and deliver the scale and pace of change required.You will be expected to provide leadership to shape your projects, utilising knowledge, and insights from subject matter experts, and evidencing success through monitoring and evaluation.Based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, but with travel across LothianWe offer flexible working and welcome applications from across the public and private sector.NHS Lothian offers fantastic learning opportunities allowing you to build a skill set and gain experiences which are a foundation for an exciting and prosperous career.NHS Lothian is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce, and eliminating unlawful discrimination.
