Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow/Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Project Lead for an initial 6 month contractwith the potential to extendon a rate of £430/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstancesthis role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.Responsibilities:- Lead in the delivery of the organisations Engagement strategy which will reflect their commitments to engagement and consistent communication with internal and external users/stakeholders across a wide range of responsibilities.- Lead on the resolution of escalating blockers, risks and issues that the organisation faces through regular engagement forums or escalation paths.- Lead, develop and continuously improve upon key work streams within the teams remit, identifying opportunities to reduce duplication and bureaucracy through collaboration and partnership working.- Support the team to be established as a central engagement point for both internal and external stakeholders.- Establish close working relationships with PMO colleagues to ensure the Engagement team activities are aligned and complement internal governance and planning.- Identify opportunities to expand and improve upon the team remit bolstering the team vision and objectives.- Line management responsibilities for the support staff within the team.Essential Skills:- Have experience in communicating, supporting and influencing stakeholders (internal and external) through the delivery of significant change in what can be a politically sensitive environment.- Excellent people management and relationship-building skills with the ability to empower others to deliver their best work, support one another and maintain the confidence of senior stakeholders.- Demonstrated ability to develop credible and effective relationships of influence and to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver outcomes, taking account of sensitivities and diverse agendas.- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience of communicating complex issues in an engaging, innovative way, using appropriate inclusive channels.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
