Job Description

Reed Procurement are proud to represent a highly successful Public Sector organisation based in Edinburgh, they are seeking a Senior Procurement Officerto join their award-winning procurement team on a full-time permanent basis.Essential/Desirable Criteria

  • Public Procurement Experience is essential.
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Working towards MCIPS
  • Minimum 1-2 years of public procurement experience or3+ years of private procurement with public sector knowledge
  • Displays Leadership/Coaching/Mentoring/Management potential
  • Operational Project Capability
The Role:
  • Plan, project manage and deliver efficient, effective and legally compliant tendering processes.
  • Provide added-value services which meet customers’ needs and achieve value for money.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to agree on procurement needs, priorities and resources.
  • Deliver major procurement projects on time and on budget.
  • Manage suppliers’ performance against contracts and appropriate Key Performance Indicators.
  • Work closely with Operational Procurement to deliver a first-class procurement service.
  • Analyse expenditure records, seeking opportunities to reduce duplication and inappropriate sourcing.
