Job Description

As the lead marketer for an ambitious project, your role is to manage, shape and deliver highly effective digital marketing plans and activities that will yield growth in income and customers from online learning students globally. The project is a corestrand in my clients strategy moving forward and they are looking for a first-class digital marketing expert who can exhibit superior ecommerce and performance marketing skills and experience.Client DetailsA well respected University.Description

  • Marketing Strategy and Planning: Work with the Head of Marketing on devising, presenting and evaluating annual and campaign marketing plans, and liaising with senior stakeholders to influence support for any plans. Ensure the marketingstrategy aligns with the strategic framework and delivers incremental growth in line with commercial plans.
  • Student Recruitment Volume & Income: Working closely with Head of Commercial to take ownership of student recruitment income from new student acquisition and maximising existing student income across global marketing campaigns and activities.
  • Product Launch Marketing: Devising and executing new product launches of academic programmes or courses, taking responsibility for marketing performance targets.
  • Sales Development Pipeline: Work closely with Prospect Conversion team to measure and track sales funnel quality and quantity on an ongoing basis.
  • UX & CX Lead: Take the lead in managing the UX and CX requirements for new and existing customer engagement across the digital estate.
  • Paid, Owned & Earned Media:Overseeing and leading the tactical execution of paid, owned and earned media activities with our external media agency
  • Resource Planning: Working with team leads on forecasting shared resource needs
  • Campaign Efficiency & Effectiveness: Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing activities and campaigns
  • Research and Competitor Scanning: Undertake or commission research when necessary to continually stay on top of market trends in online study
  • CRM and Customer Retention Programmes: Directing and managing the activities of the CRM & Engagement Marketing Officer
  • Website Conversion Optimisation: Working with Digital and Web Development teams to optimise user interactions and identify technical website and content improvements
  • Commercial and Income Focused: Actively manage and oversee marketing spend to deliver maximum ROI nual non-pay marketing budget to ensure it delivers value and meets income return targets.
  • Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Managing stakeholder engagement at all levels of the University, to ensure the plans and priorities for project are agreed and undertaken.
  • Partner Marketing Support: Providing guidance and support to partners as a B2B2C marketing channel, through activities such as joint CRM/engagement plans and co-branded collateral
  • Analytics: Defining and reporting monthly on KPIs and utilising website analytics to generate insights and make informed decisions on sales, customers and overall website performance
  • Team & People Development: Directly manage a small team
ProfileEssential
  1. 7+ years experience in high performance digital marketing or ecommerce roles
  2. Excellent organizational skills and detail-orientated
  3. CIM qualified or equivalent qualification/certification
  4. Proven digital project management experience: ability to manage a number of different complex initiatives at pace and in control
  5. In-depth digital marketing knowledge and experience in SEO, SEM, PPC, Paid Social, Display and Email
  6. Experience working effectively with senior stakeholders at director and head of function level
  7. Managing external creative and media agencies, including budget and supplier management
  8. Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills
  9. Demonstrates strong commercial and business acumen in B2C or B2B2C marketing roles.
  10. Validated experience in B2C marketing, large-scale campaigns, marketing technology, and marketing optimization experience. This should include experience driving digital marketing strategy for lead generation and sales conversion.
  11. Experience in delivering the full marketing mix from campaign development to product launch and activation.
  12. First-class experience in Google Analytics and Data Studio; turning insights into actionable marketing outcomes
Desirable
  1. Edtech or online learning sector experience
  2. Working knowledge of Google Adwords and Facebook Ads Manager (ideally Certified)
  3. Entrepreneurial, resilient and flexible approach to working with changing priorities and short deadlines; ideally the role holder will have leadership experience in both larger and smaller private sector enterprises.
  4. Experience implementing or managing complex CRM and sales funnel conversion campaigns in platforms such as Salesforce, Hubspot etc.
  5. Web content skills including HTML, Photoshop/Canva
  6. Delivering large scale UX/CX improvement projects
