End dateSunday 05 November 2023Agile Working OptionsHybrid WorkingJob descriptionReporting to the Head of BCB Lending & Working Capital Chief Controls Office, youll lead c.10 Controls specialists, undertake and support a range of Control management processes and systems, interpret a range of data, managing the efficient and effective productionof high-quality analysis, anticipating stakeholder needs.As first line business partner youll lead on Risk & Control engagement with the Product specialists to deliver strong outcomes for the breadth of clients in the Lending & Working Capital portfolio, to ensure that existing plus new product propositions andtransformation are delivered safely, with Consumer Duty in mind. Through Control by Design you would ensure risk is designed out and regulation designed in at the outset.We collaborate with colleagues in Lending & Working Capital, and across BCB and Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) to manage risk, drive financial outcomes and develop our product offerings, to benefit our clients, colleagues and shareholders. Youll havea track record of strong communication and influencing skills, thought leadership, emotional intelligence and strategic thinking.What youll be doing:

  • Maintaining relationships with key internal customers to build a robust risk framework, sharing knowledge across the BCB Lending & Working Capital Product and Platform teams.
  • Planning and delivering product and business Control requirements including Risk & Control Self Assessment (RCSA), RCSA developments, working collaboratively with other Risk & Control Partners, business Platform and Product teams where appropriate.
  • Providing input and challenge to risk reviews, led by Product Managers/Heads or external Risk partners such as Chief Controls Office, Credit Risk Assurance, Conduct Compliance and Operational Risk, Legal and Audit.
  • Handling the interface between three lines of defence teams to BCB.
  • Working with Relationship Management teams to ensure distribution activities are adhered to, overseeing and manage remediation and rectification activities working with Product Managers.
  • Developing effective relationships and maintaining a network across the business to keep informed of developments, horizon risks and understand business process risks and issues.
  • Providing input into the development of compliance and risk policies, developing underlying procedures and monitoring their implementation.
  • Participating in our monthly risk forum and producing submissions to Product Governance Committee, and Risk Committee.
