Job Description

In line with their ambitions, thisorganisation is looking to expand the finance team by hiring an exceptional Senior Management Accountant.You’ll be building key internal relationships, as well as supporting the profitability of the company through control ofproject reporting.This organisation has great selling points, including:

JobThe role of Senior Management Accountant has the following responsibilities:
  • Responsible for month end, including preparing management accounts with commentary
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Investigating opportunities to improve efficiencies and profitability
  • Developing the ERP system to improve reporting
  • Preparing financial forecasts
  • Cashflow reporting
  • Assisting with audit
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders and project managers
  • Communicating financial information and project data to non-finance stakeholders
  • Recording R&D expenditure and reclaiming tax
  • Developing a stock control system
  • Resolving queries with suppliers
  • Leading, developing and mentoring the finance team
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
  • Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, banks, etc
YouAs Senior Management Accountant you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ICAS)
  • Experience of a commercial environment, ideally manufacturing
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, including communicating in non-finance language
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others
  • Superb relationship building / business partnering skills
  • Strong analytical/modelling skills
  • Advanced Excel & ERP systems knowledge
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Must be self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
