Job Description

My Client is looking for a reliable and highly organised Senior IT Support Engineer who is not afraid to take on new challenges and push themselves to achieve success for both the team and the organisation.Client DetailsMy Client is a well respected busy MSP business that provides excellent Customer Service and IT Support to businesses across Scotland.Description

  • Configuration, maintenance and administration of networks; including routers, firewall, switches, and public cloud networking (AWS and Azure).
  • Maintenance, build and deployment of physical servers, virtual servers and cloud instances.
  • Ensure all support tickets are resolved within agreed SLAs
  • Based on new system requirements recommend appropriate infrastructure solutions.
  • Manage and monitor client systems, proactively resolve issues and make recommendations to the Technical Director.
  • Assist technical leads with projects as and when required in addition to collaborating with any external contractors, vendors (SLAs contracts)
  • Provide recommendations and guidance for IT infrastructure improvements
Profile
  • Solid understanding of Windows and Linux distributions.
  • Experience of managing virtualised infrastructure (Hyper-V and VMWare).
  • Networking: SNMP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
  • Microsoft O365 administration including Azure, Intune, SharePoint librariesand OneDrive
  • Unifi firewall (or similar) administration experience.
  • Windows Server administration
  • Full UK Driving Licence required
