Job Description

Senior Front End Developer (React, TypeScript) - Edinburgh (Hybrid) - 80-100K plus BonusesLoriens client, a great and expanding firm in the FinTech domain, operating in the worlds largest financial market, is looking to recruit a number of keen Software Developers to build up their new Edinburgh office, bolster their development function, andcontinue to develop products and tooling for their growing customer base.Right now theyre looking for a Senior Front End Developer with strong React and TypeScript skills to help in the development of several large-scale, sophisticated Single-Page Applications as part of their wider multi-window trading platform and work closelywith their team in London (also growing at pace).Before we get into the finer details, heres a snapshot of some of the things youll enjoy:

An insight into the duties involved:
  • Develop and improve complex SPAs
  • Build brand new applications for Chrome/Desktop
  • Liaise with a cross-functional team of Product Management, QA, UX/UI and other Front End specialists
  • Help to lead in a hands-on capacity, improving both the team and products simultaneously and representing less senior members at stand ups
  • Contributing to shared frontend libraries (components/utilities/auth layers)
  • Make data-driven decisions as you develop scalable technical solutions
The skills theyre looking for you to bring with you:
  • Expert Front End development skills with React, TypeScript and CSS3 plus a flair for design
  • A good knowledge of current Front End trends and methods
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Web Sockets and various browsers including Chrome
  • Ideally a good grasp of RxJS and/or WebPack
