This goes someway to protecting the culture they have created.The RoleThe Senior FP&A Analyst role will report into the Head of FP&A and will be given access to a variety of non-financial heads of department(s). The role be heavily involved in analysing month end accounts and working with various business areas on planning andperformance.To be considered you will ideally a qualified accountant (or working towards) with experience of working in a similar financial analysis role. Moreover, you will be highly proficient on MS Excel and other reporting tools (such as Power BI).You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:* You will help drive business profitability through monitoring, reporting and translation on of financial performance in order to direct future plans and direction engaging with the wider team and business partners * Complete month end and associated journal postings (prepayments, accruals etc), workings and analysis including variance analysis to budget, prior month, full year forecasts etc * Monthly reporting of costs to the business and stakeholders including FTE reporting, producing monthly reports with actual spend and variances to budget, balance sheet reconciliations etc * Provide support to the broader Analyst pool and Support with the production and delivery of the annual planning process. Such as involvement in the budgeting cycle and compiling budgets and underlying detail. Comparisons to run rate and previous years budgetsetc. * Work with the Finance Business Partners to develop and run effective regular forecasting capability. To help highlight financial performance issues and aid prompt resolution * Support the adoption of single P&L for the business that connects income, cost and profitability * Become a go to person within our business for any expense related questions and help us drive commercial decision making both now and into the future * Develop, maintain and build visible business and financial performance metrics that are clear to all * Involvement in ad-hoc cost analysis such as opportunities for cost savings, trend data etcPerson specification* Have experience of a similar management accounting/financial analysis role* Have experience of successfully partnering with non-financial stakeholders to achieve strong departmental performance* Be a qualified accountant or working towards an accountancy/financial analysis qualification* Have excellent MS Excel skills - SUMIF, vlookups, pivots etc.* Have experience of using reporting tools such as BI Suite, Power BI etc.On OfferThe role of Senior FP&A Analyst is offering the following package:* Up to £60,000* Discretionary bonus - circa 10% * Company share scheme * Hybrid working * Enhanced pension + holiday allowance * Other benefits available upon requestThe office is based in Edinburgh beautiful city centre and is accessible via public transport.
