Job Description

The OpportunityWe have an exciting new permanent position available for a Senior Cash Management Technician!Our Finance Operations function is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and transactions within our clients organisation. The primary goal of this function is to process payments, receipts and distributions as well asidentify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in financial records. This is important for maintaining the reliability of financial information, facilitating proper financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.This role is within the Cash Management Team for the Life and Pensions business, which is responsible for processing all money in and money out transactions within agreed SLAs and in line with regulatory requirements, LBG Group Minimum Standards ("GMS")and Group Payments Policy, ensuring that all transactions are correctly processed and recorded in a timely manner.Youll be:

  • Operating as Cash Management SME.
  • Overseeing the preparation of the daily bank reconciliations to demonstrate an effective level of control, within agreed SLAs.
  • Identifying, investigating and resolving any failed and rejected payments, bounced and out of date cheques, stopped and reissued cheques, as well as performing payment-tracing activities.
  • Preparing or authorising manual journals where required.
  • Supporting more junior members of the Team with this journal preparation providing guidance, training and stepping-in where required.
You should apply if you:
  • Possess experience working within a finance role within Financial Services or a payments role within a non-Financial Services company.
  • Are highly experienced with Excel.
  • Are knowledgeable of financial services, particularly Investments, processes and regulations.
  • Possess strong attention to detail.
  • Are a strong communicator and able to effectively liaise with senior individuals within the team and the wider teams.
