Job Description

Senior BI AnalystHybrid/ Edinburgh (2 days a week on site)£50,000 - £60,000 + Bonus + Great company BenefitsThe Company Our client is the UKs largest Insurance services companies with over 13 million customers. If you are a curious, customer obsessed and experienced Business Intelligence professional, with SQL, visualisation and Python skills who can uncoverinsight and tell stories with data then apply now!As a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, youll inform and direct customer and partner experience activity by providing data-based insight. Youll use SQL, Python and Visualisation tools to source, gather, cleanse, and analyse customer data to beused in the process of developing and delivering better customer experiences. You will have the chance to work with different parts of the business including Proposition, Digital, Marketing and other analytical teams to support delivery of insightful businessintelligence.Key responsibilities:

  • Design, develop & deliver BI solutions using modern software techniques and tools to deliver high impact insights and support the business
  • Integrate new techniques of data analysis such as text analysis, regressions, machine learning etc.
  • Assimilate and interpret information from diverse sources and tell stories using data and visualisations
  • Agile way of working in squads within a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Work with stakeholders and the wider data community to build strong relationships
  • Provide mentorship by proactively coaching, supporting, and developing colleagues
  • Help balance competing priorities of different pieces of work and assisting with prioritisation.
Experience Required
  • Undergraduate in applied maths subject e.g. Data Science / AI, Statistics, Computer Science, Big Data, Engineering, Physics, Economics, Maths or equivalent in experience
  • Candidates will need to be proficient in SQL and Python
  • Have some practical experience of BI visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Oracle OIBEE
  • Customer-centric professional with evidence of delivery against customer needs and expectations
  • Ideal candidates will have a desire and passion for data
  • And examples of experience with complex data models will go a long way.
  • Any experience with Cloud, QuickSight, Qlik, R, Spark is desirable
  • It is also desirable if you have worked in the Financial Services industry
