Denholm Associates are excited to be partnering with a growing, award-winning Fintech business, based in Edinburgh, who are looking for a Senior Accounting Software Support Specialist to join their expanding team. You will join an innovative and growingonline accountancy business, with excellent opportunities to accelerate your career. This is a company with exceptional customer and employee reviews, part of a huge banking group, with associated support and credibility.Our client is renowned for looking after small businesses with fewer than 10 employees, who require support with financial queries - tax, HMRC, VAT etc. You will have strong technical accounting knowledge and be passionate about ensuring your clients havean exceptional experience. Flexible and hybrid working options are available, although up to the first 6 months of training will be in the stunning Edinburgh offices - within walking distance of Haymarket station and the West End, with its bus connections.Thereafter, with 2 days per week in the office, you can be based anywhere within travelling distance to Edinburgh.You will have solid technical knowledge of accounting and a real passion for technology, which you will use to provide an exemplary service. You will have lived accounts preparation, VAT, payroll and self-assessment, with previous experience gained withinprofessional practice or industry. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the product development team and put across your own ideas and suggestions. Responsibilities also include:- communicating with your customers through phone, email and onlineplatforms, providing training on the software, answering queries & technical questions, while providing outstanding advice and customer service to your clients. Your experience of team-leading and supporting others in their career aspirations, will be essential.Even if you only have limited hands-on managerial experience, the fact that you want to add people management to your skillset is more important than the amount of experience. Please note, your people management experience does not have to have come fromanything related to accountancy - as long as you have the technical skills, a customer-focused outlook and the determination to learn new skills, your teamleading can have come from other areas, like hospitality.In terms of what the client is looking for, you have strong technical accounting knowledge, alongside practical experience. You will ideally have worked as an Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper and have a passion for cloud accounting and technology. You willideally hold, or be studying towards, the AAT, CIMA or ACCA qualification, however applications will be accepted from qualified by experience individuals.This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and award-winning, cutting-edge technology business.
