Responsibilities of the Scrum Master;* Building a high-performing team by applying a leadership style and leading by example* Guiding and coaching the team on how to get the most out of self-organisation and how to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks* Serving and supporting the Product Owner and Development Team in their quest to do everything possible to delight customers* Guiding and coaching the team on how to get the most out of self-organisation and how to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks* Assessing the Scrum maturity of the team and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organisation* Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments which may involve working with other teams, experts or leaders* Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving* Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work* Protecting the team from uncontrolled expansion of work by communicating effectively with key stakeholders, including management* Facilitating planning discussion, work estimation, decision making, and conflict resolution* Coordinating with other teams and via Scrum of Scrums to pass information bi-directionally facilitating inter-team dialog opportunities to remove impediments* Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information* Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog in support of sprint planningBackground of the Scrum Master;* Agile - SAFe certification* Demonstrated leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.* Knowledge of patterns and techniques including: Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.* Knowledge and facility with Agile tools such as JIRA which are used to capture user stories and track a teams progress* Knowledge and developing awareness of applying game-oriented facilitation techniques and toolsIs this job for you At Meraki, we love recruitment and love words.
