Job Description

Research Support OfficerEdinburgh Based - HybridWaverley Gate - 2-4 Waterloo Pl, Edinburgh EH1 3EGStart Date - Feb 2023Pay Rate - £17.15Hours per week - 37Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, design and implementation of various public engagement and participation activities, and putting forward options and recommendations based on research and evidence
  • Participate in and/or support engagement and participation with local and national communities and individuals
  • Participate in and/or support the liaising with the public, key stakeholders, third sector groups and academics
  • Participate in and/or support the planning of public engagement activities across Scotland which encourages participation by underrepresented voices
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the successful operation and logistics of the project
  • Work closely and collaboratively with other members of the listening project, including the research team, to ensure the Listening project meets its objectives overall
  • Work on other duties as required to support wider Listening project activities
Essential Criteria
  • Excellent written and oral communications and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and build effective working relationships.
  • Great attention to detail, with the ability to identify and source information to produce accurate written and numerical work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work flexibly and effectively as part of a team, sharing information and communicating effectively with colleagues.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills including the ability to manage challenging workloads and competing deadlines, whilst being able to respond flexibly to changing priorities.
