Job Description

Our client, a well-established removals company are currently looking to recruit a Removals Operative (7.5T and HGV Drivers) to join their busy team co-ordinating domestic moves based in Edinburgh.The successful Removals Operative will have a full license to drive vehicles over 3.5t, a drivers CPC, and will be physically fit as you will be required to load and offload goods. Having experience in the industry is not required would be an advantage.We are keen to speak with self-motivated and driven individuals who have extensive customer service experience with a real desire to keep customers happy.Removals Operative Duties:

  • Driving company vehicles
  • Loading & offloading goods
  • Packaging, carrying and moving of cartons & items of furniture
  • Removal preparation and execution
  • Vehicle Checks
  • Booking confirmations / administration and customer liaison
  • Making sure that all aspects of the removal is discussed with the customer and agreed internally
  • Preparing quotations and booking in removals for repeat customers Move Co-ordinator
  • Working as part of a team with other removals operatives
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks required as part of your role
Requirements of the Removals Operative:
  • Excellent verbal communication presentation skills
  • Flexibility in order to respond to changing business needs
