Job Description

Our prestigious client is looking for a Recruitment ManagerClient DetailsA leading firm in the professional services sectorDescription

  • Responsibility for the graduate recruitment, summer student placements and selection process with a view to ensuring excellent longer term hiring decisions of candidates who will fit in with the Firms culture and values.
  • Liaising with universities in respect of recruitment fairs and Firm publicity and recruitment events and devising and delivering on a strategy to market the Firm and improve the Firms profile with students.
  • Liaising with student law societies to promote the Firms profile amongst target student populations to ensure maximum number and quality of applications.
  • Working alongside the Partners and other business stakeholders as regards the Firms wider recruitment strategy and requirements.
  • Maximising the value of our student placement programme including by overseeing student training and learning and development opportunities
  • Working with the Firms Finance Director and Partners on market salary and benefit benchmarking and best recruitment processes and practices to best support the Firms competitive market position.
  • Responsibility for the Firms sponsorship activities, both of university student societies and also bursaries and scholarships.
  • Responsibility for liaison with external secondment providers, ensuring the allocation of placements and ongoing liaison with secondees.
  • Being key to establishing and cultivating an inclusive, diverse, collaborative, supportive and high performing workforce and growth culture in all aspects of the Firms recruitment practices.
  • Reinforcing our values in every candidate interaction and maintaining our values/culture through recruitment decisions.
  • Leading on communications and developing strong, productive relationships with head-hunters, external recruiters as required, external training organisations and universities.
  • Responsibility for compliance with Law Society guidelines for trainee appraisals
  • Liaising with trainees on their development and welfare during their traineeship with the Firm.
  • Ensuring legal compliance and compliance with documented internal controls, maintaining documented processes, verifying the appropriateness of identified risks and relevant controls to mitigate said risks including managing effective on-boarding practices.
Profile
  • High calibre professional with broad practical experience covering all areas of the recruitment function.
  • Experience in professional services sector recruitment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels within the organisation.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead teams and ability to constructively challenge and influence others.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and significant experience of systems, controls and processes.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Commercially aware with proven analytical skills to ensure value add to the organisation.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments whilst ensuring on time delivery.
  • Ability to focus effort and prioritise work to deliver business value.
