Job Description

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a receptionist for a 2 month contract on a rate of £12.04/hour PAYE. The working hours are from 8am until 4pm.Responsibilities:- Greeting patients and visitors, directing them to the appropriate department. - Receive and direct incoming calls and take and relay messages as required. - Provide administrative support as required to the CRF team, including photocopying, filing, and general typing. - Monitor the generic CRF enquiries email inbox, responding to messages or forwarding them as appropriate. Maintain adequate stationery supplies. - Highlight maintenance requirements to the admin team. - Receive and distribute deliveries - including specimens - informing staff of their arrival. - Arrange collection and delivery via couriers. - Manage bookings for the three meeting rooms and four parking bays at the CRF. - General ad-hoc administration tasks.Essential Skills:- Good communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to learn and use non-standard IT systems- Able to prioritise own workload- Problem solving- Good numeracy and literacy skills - Accuracy and attention to detail - Ability to adhere to internal SOPs and guidance- Experience working in a receptionist role- Experience of working independently and as part of a teamDesirable Skills- Experience of work in Higher Education, healthcare or research sectorIf you would like to hear more about this opportunity, please get in touch.
