Job Description

My retained client is an international design and manufacturing organisation, with a fantastic reputation in a multitude of different industries. They are well established, with an impressive history over the last 60 years.They are now looking to recruit an experienced Quality Manager to their site on the outskirts of Edinburgh. This is a rare opportunity to join the site leadership team.The Quality Manager is required to work alongside all top-tier level management within the business, create quality assurance strategies, lead the quality team and ensure that customer specifications are adhered to and that quality products are dispatched.Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of the current ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System and support for the Environmental and Health & Safety Management systems including document control, management review and the associated audit programs
  • Develop, implement and maintain strategies, policies and standards that assure that raw materials, processes, and finished products within the company consistently meet the quality standards necessary for complete customer satisfaction
  • Deliver accurate SPC data and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of quality assurance, quality control and customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for all quality assurance programs including product quality, manufacturing programs, vendor quality programs, material approval functions and all overseeing of site wide Corrective & Preventative Actions and continuous improvement
  • Leading and participating in cross functional teams to ensure effective implementation of root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action processes within the site
Experience required:
  • Degree Qualified in a suitable Engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Good experience of implementing, developing, and maintaining ISO9001 certification
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of Lean Manufacturing, problem solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools
