Job Description

Are you looking to take your career to the next level Are you an experienced Quality Engineer with a passion for excellence and a commitment to quality Then this is the perfect job for you.As Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases and test scripts and ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for developing and implementing qualityassurance processes, ensuring that all processes are up to date and that all products meet required standards. Youll understand design test strategies, and recognise potential quality issues and work closely with the development team to identify and addressany issues that may arise. Youll also have responsibility for indentifying opportunities to enhance testing methodologies, frameworks, and processes to improve overall software quality and testing efficiency.Experience and skills required

  • Proven experience in testing REST and GraphQL APIs, particularly within AWS environments, and proficiency in Java microservices
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, RDS, and CloudFormation, and ability to set up and configure test environments on AWS
  • Strong expertise in test automation tools and frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Postman, or similar tools.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, including black-box testing, white-box testing, and performance testing.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI) for automated testing and deployment To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly organised and have a keen eye for detail. You should have a good understanding of quality control processes and be able to identify potential problems quickly and efficiently. The organisation have office locations across the UK with offices in Edinburgh, London and Bristol. They work in a hybrid way with staff expected to be based on site 1-2 days per week.
