Job Description

Property Manager Location: EdinburghSalary: Up to £30k (DOE) + Excellent BenefitsOur client, a prestigious estate agent and law firm is seeking a Property Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for efficiently managing a portfolio of residential rental properties, ensuring a smooth tenancy process. Your primary focus will be to establish positive relationships with both landlord clients and tenants,acting on their behalf to ensure compliance with legislative and tenancy obligations.They will help to acheive ARLA Propertymark or CIH Letwell qualification (SCQF level 6 or above) if not already achieved.Duties:

  • Oversee property repairs, maintenance, compliance, and projects within your portfolio.
  • Conduct property inspections and compliance checks, documenting clear and concise reports.
  • Proactively handle sensitive issues such as rental arrears, tenancy evictions, non-compliance problems, and disputes.
  • Manage end-of-tenancy deposit negotiations and effectively resolve disputes, compiling necessary evidence for adjudication or mediation.
  • Take personal responsibility for professional development, staying informed about market conditions, legislative changes, and industry news.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to enhance the companys landlord services visibility through social media platforms.
  • Actively manage and minimise risks to the company, encompassing financial, legal, and reputational aspects, ensuring compliance with the Letting Agent Code of Practice.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Residential letting & property management qualification (preferred)
  • Business, legal, property, or financial degree
