Project Manager Duration - 6 Months Location - Bristol / Edinburgh / Remote Summary My high-profile banking client is looking for a project manager to join their team based at either their Bristol or Edinburgh office on a hybrid basis (one day a week on site) on an initial 6-month contract with chance of extensions. As project manager you will lead their delivery team to ensure the fundamentals of Project Management excellence are achieved, this includes analysis, governance, planning managing finances and delivering value.Were looking for expert Project Managers or colleagues with proven ability in:* Taking ownership for delivering a prescribed budget for own area of the organization* Planning: Produces a project or workstream plan defining the delivery milestones, tasks and activities; understands the project critical path and how own area of responsibility impacts this; monitors progress against project/workstream plan, identifies slippageand supports activity to recover.* Project Delivery: Follows the appropriate elements of the LBG project delivery lifecycle, including contributing to/completing formal reviews at appropriate points.* Delivers outcomes by leading others and working within established systems.* Governance and Reporting: Reports progress and status to the appropriate partners on a timely basis, including identification and escalation of key risks and issues.* Resource Management and Finance: Provides support to the control and management of project budgets and resource costs, reporting variances and calling out as appropriate to overcome delays, difficulties or cost over-runs.It would also be great if you had experience of:* Stakeholder management and effective communication, including soft skills* Business engagement, ability to understand, challenge and document underlying business needs* Building and maintaining strong relationships to deliver change* An understanding the fundamentals of the change delivery cycle* Problem solving and creative thinking* Organising teams to accomplish, prioritise and deliver value* Coaching colleagues on how to apply common business analysis techniques* Working on regulatory & scheme related changes within Financial Sector environment* Working with tools like Jira & ConfluenceIf you have not received a response within 48 hours of applying, please assume you have not been shortlisted this time
