Job Description

Project ManagerEdinburgh (with hybrid working)£50,000 - £60,000Change Digital Recruitment is recruiting Project Managers on behalf of a nationally recognised financial services company. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland.this company provide a broad range of financial products to consumers ranging from savings accounts, creditcards and loans as well as home, car, and pet insurance.Bases in Edinburgh this role is responsible for playing a key part in the delivery of Technology changes on behalf of this digital bank. Over the past 12 months the company have gone through an Agile Transformation and this role will provide an opportunityto be part of the Banks transition to an Agile operating model, whilst bringing the rigour required through experienced project management.Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with other business and technical stakeholders to shape projects into manageable deliverables.
  • Oversee the planning, financial management and scheduling of projects for development work using input from colleagues in technology.
  • You will be responsible for the line management and development of other staff as well as the project management of the delivery resources assigned to your projects.
  • You will be able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, collaborating with business and engineering resources of all levels.
Experience and skills
  • Previous experience in a Project management role, managing either a large more complex project or more than one delivery changes/ small projects at any one time.
  • You will have experience of dealing with deliveries from 3rd parties and required integration into existing in-house applications and processes.
  • Previous experience of project management with a financial services or payments environment would be advantageous although not essential.
  • Strong appetite to manage the delivery of projects which warrant a Waterfall approach to delivery, however also having the flexibility to work within an organisation which is adopting Agile ways of working.
  • The preferred candidate will have strong relationship management skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
  • The preferred candidate will have string stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively manage internal stakeholders across the organisation.
This role is based in Edinburgh with a hybrid working approach. The organisation does encourage collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders so we can only consider applicants that live within a commutable distance to Edinburgh.
