Job Description

Project Manager - Edinburgh / hybrid - 6 Month ContractOur Public Sector client are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join on a 6 month initial contract, outside IR35.Main Duties

  • Manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Update 2023/24 budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan for the Beta phase of the project
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Manage contractors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating clear expected deliverables
  • Utilise industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Monitor progress, making adjustments as needed within project tolerance; and escalating where outside tolerance
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
The successful candidate will have the following skills/knowledge:
  • Project management and related experience in digital delivery
  • Experience and expertise in Agile methodology with Project Management certification preferred
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices (specifically: MS Project and Jira)
  • Knowledge and awareness of GDS and Digital Scotland Service Standards
