***URGENT VACANCY***The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are once again working with one of our biggest clients in the recruitment of an interim/contract project accountant for approximately 3 months to assist them in the production of their year end accounts.The role will report into the operations director, however will be closely interacting with stakeholders across the business from operational partners to senior board figures.The role will be based in Edinburgh on a hybrid basis has excellent public transport links as well as free parking if you were to use your own transport.The ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to provide project accounting support to the commercial director to assist them in finalising their year end accounts along with providing more visibility of the accounts in a more general sense.On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;Working closely with the finance team in the completion of the year end accounts.Identifying areas where new processes can be implemented to assist in the efficiency of the finance function.Identifying and reporting on areas of weakness to the commercial director in respect to the finances of the business.Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and assist in the creation of new P&L accounts.Analysis of historical trends and assist in the creation of budgets and forecasts.The RequirementsWe are seeking a professionally qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA), who has a proven track record in joining a business and adding value from day one. Our client`s business is highly complex and has a high volume of transactions passing through the general ledger.The successful applicant will be required to analyse large data sets and as such must have an advance level of Excel. Applicants will be required to move from various tasks at short notice and will potentially have several projects on the go at anyone point.Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
