Manpower is recruiting for the role of Production Operator/Material Handler to work with our client, a major manufacturing company in Portobello, Edinburgh on a temp to perm opportunity.If you are hard working with great attention to detail, you want to learn and gain new skills in a stable industry, this might just be the role for you. Due to the hybrid nature of the role you will continuously learning new skills.Primarily you will be assisting the main material handler. This is a varied role with lorries to be loaded/unloaded, stock rotation, rails to be taken in and out of the factory, swarf to be emptied etc. The main pieces of plant that will be used are a 5TBulmor Sideloader and a 3T JCB Teletruck. The other scope of this role will be operating semi-automatic bandsaw and CNC drill but will expand for the right applicant to include operating the hydraulic press and 3 axis milling machines working to within 0.5mmtolerances. Full training will be provided on any machinery.We are ideally looking for candidates with similar experience but a good work ethic and a willingness to learn would be considered.The role will be day shift Monday to Thursday - 7:15am to 3:45pm, Friday - 7:00am to 12:00pmKey skills
