Job Description

Procurement SolicitorThe Scottish Government Commercial Team is seeking a Procurement Solicitor to join their busy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising the Scottish Ministers on commercial matters. The ideal candidate will have a strongtrack record in advising on Public Procurement Law, with experience in Subsidy Control and Competition Law. The role will also involve providing cover on general commercial matters, making it an excellent opportunity for a commercial lawyer who is keen tolearn about public sector work.Responsibilities

  • Provide advice on Public Procurement Law, with experience in Subsidy Control and Competition Law
  • Provide cover on general commercial matters
  • Advise with an element of autonomy on the new Subsidy Control regime and the Public Procurement landscape in Scotland
Requirements
  • Scottish qualified solicitor
  • Strong track record in advising on Public Procurement Law
  • Experience in Subsidy Control and Competition Law
  • Comfortable advising with an element of autonomy on the new Subsidy Control regime and the Public Procurement landscape in Scotland
Salary and Benefits
  • From salary £57,000+
  • Mainly remote work, with staff meetings happening once a month
  • 37 hours per week, 5 days a week
  • Flexibility with 4 days a week if needed
  • Training will be provided as appropriate
