Job Description

GTS is recruiting for a Procurement Operations Specialist.Our client, a leading global company, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join their team as a Procurement Operations Specialist. Based in Edinburgh, this is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to our clients procurement needs andprovide professional services across various category areas across the UK and Europe.As a key member of the shared service business, you will work closely with the finance teams to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of procurement requirements for our clients labs. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be instrumentalin maintaining adherence to procurement processes and providing the necessary governance and control to meet operational requirements.Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and enforce the companys procurement processes across the organization.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all procurement operations tasks.
  • Oversee data cleansing and maintenance of ERP systems (Dynamics 365, Dynamics AX, Navision).
  • Assist the Procurement Admin team in addressing queries from sites and stakeholders across various category areas.
  • Support vendor escalations, including invoice resolution and supplier service issues.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on the end-to-end P2P process for UK and European sites.
  • Contribute to various procurement operations projects aimed at driving continuous improvement, such as the implementation of a new Purchasing card program.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of a robust Preferred Supplier List.
  • Act as a deputy for the Procurement Operations Manager when necessary.
Skills / Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of procurement practices, including ERP systems, vendor management, and PO administration.
  • Outstanding communication skills with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Experience in process management and control is highly desirable.
  • Ability to engage with suppliers to resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems for purchase order generation, supplier setup, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with multi-site environments.
  • Strong expertise in MS Excel.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment.
