Job Description

Reed Procurement are proud to represent a highly successful Public Sector organisation based in Edinburgh, they are seeking a Procurement Manager to join their award-winning procurement team on a full-time permanent basis.This role will focus on the businesss estates, concerning the following:

  • Construction Projects (e.g. New Builds and/or refurbishment projects)
  • Sports Equipment
  • Furniture
  • Waste/Recycling services
  • Facilities Management
Essential/Desirable Criteria
  • Public Procurement Experience is essential. Candidates must be aware of the legislation and regulations that govern their Procurement activity for services, goods and works (from >£50k to >£2mil).
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • MCIPS Accredited (or proof of working towards this qualification)
  • At least 5 years of experience in public procurement experience OR several years of private procurement with public sector knowledge
  • Strategic Project Capability (can demonstrate managing projects with complexity, risk and high value)
The Role:
  • Responsible for the tendering, award and contract management of a range of procurement projects.
  • Strategic initiatives stemming from market engagement and spending analyses.
  • Contribute to the organisations financial well-being and international research profile.
  • Deliver cash savings and other cost efficiencies.
  • Engage directly with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Find fit-for-purpose solutions which are aligned with organisation objectives and Government policy.
  • Taking ownership of strategic procurements that deliver maximum benefit across the University.
